The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) December 2019 & June 2020 examination schedule. The schedule is available on the official website of the NTA, i.e., nta.ac.in
The candidates who aspire to become a doctorate of his favourite subject can apply for the examination on the given date. The UGC NET examinations will be conducted in different cities at All India level.
NTA UGC-NET December 2019
The agency has scheduled to conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) 2019 for December 2019 attempt from December 02 to 06, 2019.
The exam will be held on Computer-based mode (CBT). The registration for the UGC NET December 2019 will be commenced from September 09 to October 09, 2019.
The candidates will be able to download the admit card from November 09, 2019. The result for the same will be declared on December 31, 2019.
NTA UGC-NET June 2019
The registration for the UGC NET December 2019 will be commenced from March 16 to April 16, 2019. The candidates will be able to download the admit card from May 15, 2019.
The agency has scheduled to conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) 2019 for June 2019 attempt from June 15 to 20, 2019. The exam will be held on Computer-based mode (CBT).
The NTA UGC NET June 2019 Result will be declared on July 05, 2019.

Why NET is conducted?
NET conducted to select candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the national level examination across the country for the post of Assistant Professor.
NTA UGC-NET Exam Pattern:
NTA UGC-NET will comprise only two papers:
- Paper 1,
- Paper 2.
Earlier, the exam included three papers. There is no break between Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Total Number of Questions- 150 (Paper 1- 50, Paper 2- 100)
It is mandatory to attempt all the questions from both the papers.
Paper 2 will cover syllabi of both Paper 2 and Paper 3 as per the previous pattern of UGC NET.
NET Exam Timing:
The examination will take place in two shifts – Morning and Evening.
Morning shift timing
From 9.30 am to 12.30 pm
Evening shift timing
From 2.30pm to 5.30pm
