The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, MSBSHSE has again postponed the Maharashtra Class 10th, 12th Supplementary Exams 2020. The MSBSHSE generally conducts the Supplementary exams for those students who failed to get passing marks in the regular board exams in the month of October, every year. The announcement to postponed the supplement examination has been made by the Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad herself.
According to the latest media reports, the Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad said that the supplementary examination for students who failed the Class X and XII board exam of the state board, which is generally held in October, will be deferred this year. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to postpone the examinations.
"The Maharashtra Class 10th, 12th Supplementary Exams 2020 would be held in November or December considering the prevailing situation", Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad added to her statement.
The results for the Maharashtra SSC Board Exam 2020 was declared by the MSBSHSE on July 29. This year, a total of 15,75,103 students appeared for the Maharashtra SSC Exam 2020. Out of which 15,01,105 students have successfully qualified the board exams. The overall pass percentage stood at 95.30% which is about 18.2% higher than the last year.
While the result for the Maharashtra Board Class 12 Exam 2020 was declared on July 16, 2020. Overall pass percentage stood at 90.66 percent, this year. The pass percentage among girls stood at 93.88 percent. The pass percentage among boys is 88.04%. A total of 13 lakh students appeared for the HSC examination this year. The overall pass percentage has increased by 4.78 per cent this year. In 2019, a total of 85.88 percent students had passed. Out of 154 subjects, the board has recorded 100% result in 23 subjects.
