Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has issued the tentative schedule for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2015.

Issuing the tentative schedule it said that the notification will be issued in the first week of October.

According to the new rule the students after qualifying Class 12th Examination would be able to take part in this examination only for two attempts. In such condition the students who have qualified plus two examination in 2013 or before this will not be able to participate in JEE exam.

Seven IITs across the country will hold JEE Advanced 2015 examination for students seeking admission to 16 IITs and the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad in Jharkhand. The schedule and press brief for the examination will be issued likely at the end of this month.

This Year the JEE Advanced was conducted on May 25, 2014 and the results for the same was announced on June 19. There is the probability that the schedule for JEE Advandec 2015 will remain the same. The schedule will be issued on

The candidates who will secure the first 1.5 lakh position would be able to appear in JEE Advanced conducted by CBSE.

In a significant decision which is set to benefit students aspiring to enter IITs, the Council meet of the prestigious institutions here on Monday decided to consider the aggregate marks secured in Class 12 Board Examinations for admission.




"In addition to the top-20 percentile condition, it has been decided now to give another provision [to aspirants seeking admission] which is the marks secured in the board exams," Secretary, Union Ministry of Human Resources, Ashok Thakur told reporters in Mumbai.
