IAS Interview is the last step of the Civil Services Examination. After this phase, candidates are selected for different positions in other services including IAS. After the extensive bi-level examination of IAS Prelims and IAS Main, many people think and argue about the usefulness of IAS interview. Generally, IAS preliminary and main exams are organised for testing of candidates' academic and general awareness in different subjects, on the other hand, IAS interviews are like any other recruitment test based on the person’s personality and temperament.

IAS Interview Questions
In the IAS Interface panel, distinguished personalities are included in various fields and this panel is headed by a UPSC member. There is no definite format or pattern of IAS interview; interviewers are free to ask questions to the interviewee based on academic and non-academic areas. Questions of IAS interview can be from any subject, can be of any concentration.

IAS Interview is more difficult because of its competitiveness. However, it is challenging but considering that the candidates have already passed the IAS Prelims and IAS main exams, it should not be too difficult in the interview. Candidates are only required to show different characteristics of their personality, show their mental alertness, social etiquette and influence the panel to use logic for the targeted answers.
