GATE 2025: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 has once again extended its registration deadline with a late fee till 11 October 2024, 11:59 pm. Interested candidates who have not applied yet can visit the official website i.e. gate2025.iitr.ac.in. to submit their applications.
The dates have been extended due to several requests from the applicants, the GATE 2025 official website added. According to the official notice, "Due to several requests from applicants, the closing date of extended online registration/ application process (With Late Fee) is further extended up to 11:59 PM, 11th October 2024 (Friday)."
Earlier, the GATE 2025 registration process was scheduled to end on October 7. The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16 at various test centers across the country. The exam will be held in two shifts i.e. from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm while the second shift exam will be commenced from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The exam will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode, covering 30 test papers. Candidates are allowed to appear for a maximum of two test papers from the available two-paper combinations. The admit card for the same is expected to be released on 2 January 2024. The GATE 2025 results are scheduled to be released on 19 March 2025.

- A high-quality photograph of the candidate as per the required specifications
- High-quality signature of the candidate as per required specifications
- Scanned copy of the caste certificate in PDF format, if applicable
- A scanned copy of the PwD certificate in PDF format, if applicable
- A scanned copy of a valid photo ID in PDF format from one of the following: Aadhar-UID, passport, PAN card, voter ID, or Driving License
GATE 2025: Educational qualification
Candidates must have completed or be in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, or Arts. Candidates in the third year of their undergraduate program can also apply for the same.
