CSIR UGC NET 2022: The National Testing Agency (NTA), the official examination conducting body for CSIR UGC NET 2022, has initiated registration process for the same. Candidates desirous of applying for the examination can fill and submit the application forms for the same on the official website csirnet.nta.nic.in. CSIR UGC NET 2022: Application Deadline
Notably, the final date to apply for the exam is August 10. The NTA will shut down the registration window for the exam at 5 pm on the said date.
CSIR UGC NET 2022: Eligibility Criteria
Age limit: Age is no bar for candidates applying for lectureship/assistant professor posts. However, those willing to be appointed as Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) must not be over 28 years of age.
Educational qualifications: The candidate applying for the exam should have pursued BE/BTech/BPharma/BS/Integrated BS-MS/MSc or equivalent degree and should have secured 55% marks in his/her qualifying examination. The criteria has been set at 50% for reserved category candidates.
CSIR UGC NET 2022: Exam Pattern
The CSIR UGC NET 2022 exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency as a Computer-based test. The exam will last for a duration of 3 hours in which candidates will be required to answer multiple choice questions. The exam is tentatively scheduled to be held in September 2022.
Maximum marks to be awarded in the exam are 200. The paper will comprise three sections, out of which Section A will be compulsory for all candidates. Section B will be for the subject that the candidate has opted for. Section C will test candidates' knowledge regarding scientific concepts and their applications. Negative marking will also be applicable in the paper.

CSIR UGC NET exam is conducted annually for candidates who wish to be appointed as Lecturers/Assistant Professors in the universities and colleges of the country. Apart from this, candidates are also eligible to become Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) after qualifying the exam.
