The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2020 application window is to close today, May 18, 2020, by the Consortium of National Law University (NLU). All eligible and interested candidates can apply for the exam by visiting the official website. The application forms are available on the official website i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Registrations are open since 1st January 2020 and will remain open until 18th May 2020.

The CLAT 2020 entrance examination will be held in the pen and paper mode on Sunday, 21st June 2020 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The exam was earlier scheduled to be held on May 10 which has been rescheduled to May 24 from 3 pm to 5 pm. Amid the Coronavirus outbreak and extension of lockdown in India, the Consortium of NLUs has extended the application date as well as exam date for CLAT 2020.

CLAT 2020: UG Eligibility Criteria
  • There will be no upper age limit for UG Programme in CLAT 2020.
  • As regards the minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination), the candidates must have secured;
(i) Minimum 45% marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories.
(ii) Minimum 40% marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

CLAT 2020: How to fill the application form?

Candidates can follow these simple steps to fill the CLAT 2020 application form;

Step 1: Candidates will be required to visit the official website i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in
Step 2: Go through the detailed information brochure such as; important dates, eligibility criteria, application fee, etc.
Step 3: Click on the new registration link and generate user id and password
Step 4: Log in with the generated id and password, fill in the detailed application form and upload necessary documents.
Step 5: Submit the application fee and check the application details thoroughly
Step 6: Candidates are advised to take print of the confirmation page and keep it safe for further use.
