The entrance examinations in Chhattisgarh has been cancelled by the Chattisgarh state government. The entrance exams including PET, PPT, PMCA has been cancelled by the government. An order regarding the same was issued on Sunday where it was clarified that Pre Engineering Test (PET), Pre-Pharmacy Test (PPHT), Pre-Polytechnic Test (PPT), and Pre-Master in Computer Applications (PMCA) tests will not be conducted in the state.

The admission to the candidates in these courses has been decided to be allowed on the basis of merit in qualifying examinations, which means, admission will be accessed on the basis of the number obtained in the school or graduation examination.

The Professional Education Board has decided that admission to Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Diploma and Pharmacy, Diploma in Engineering and Master of Computer Applications will now be through online counseling, as per the order issued by additional secretary in the department of skill development, technical education and employment.

There are around 15, 000 engineering seats in the state and other seats up to 10, 000, making it to 25000.
