UPSC Update 2022: In another move for the convenience of the candidates, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has launched a 'One Time Registration' (OTR) portal on the Commission's official website. The portal has been introduced keeping in view the submission of applications by the aspirants, as stated by the Commission in its official notification. After successful registration on the OTR portal by the candidates, their information will be stored forever in the Commission's server.
Following this, whenever the aspirant desires to apply for the exam, he/she will be able to cut the time spent in filling the application form for the same, as the information stored in the portal will automatically fill all the basic details of the candidate.
 
Moreover, the OTR platform will operate round the clock and will store the entire information of the candidates for the entire lifetime.

The official notification released by the Commission in this regard read, 'The OTR facility will prove to be of great benefit for the candidates, as it will not only save their time spent in filling all the basic personal details for the subsequent examinations, but will also eliminate the probability of entering any incorrect information from the candidate's end, in the application form'.

Candidates must take note of the simple steps mentioned below in order to register themselves on the OTR portal.
  1. Log on to the official website of UPSC at upsconline.nic.in.
  2. Click on the link that reads 'One Time Registration for UPSC Examinations'.
  3. Register yourself using basic details.
  4. Next, upload all documents in the prescribed format.
  5. Submit the details.
  6. Finally, download the OTR form confirmation page and print its copy for future references.
