UPSC Chairman Resign: UPSC Chairman Manoj Soni has submitted his resignation citing personal reasons. Manoj Soni's resignation has not been accepted yet, by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). They mentioned, "Not in any way connected to controversies and allegations surrounding the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) after probationary IAS Puja Khednekar issue came into force. 

He began working with the UPSC as a member in 2017 and took over as Chairperson on May 16, 2023. However, it remains unclear whether the resignation will be accepted and when he might be formally relieved of his duties.

In 2005, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's close aid, Manoj Soni, was chosen as the Vice-Chancellor of Vadodara’s MS University. He was 40 years old at that time, making him the youngest V-C in the country.
