Budget 2022: On Tuesday, February 01, the Union Finance Minister of India Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget for the financial year 2022-23. The Minister has announced to launch of various new schemes with a vision of growth for the most dynamically emerging economy of the world. While presenting the Digital Budget 2022, Finance Minister stated in her speech that the education sector of the country has suffered the most due to the Corona epidemic that has been going on for two years in the country.
To compensate for this loss, the government has launched Pradhanmantri e-Vidya Scheme under Union Budget 2022-23. While announcing the budget, Union Finance Minister said that due to the closure of schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a lot of loss in the education sector. With a vision to compensate for this, special attention will be given to digital education.
Govt to Launch Digital Education System
One Channel One Class Scheme will be increased from 12 to 200 TV channels under the Pradhan Mantri E-Vidya Yojana. On this, quality education will be arranged for classes from 1st to 12th. Education will be provided in all regional languages through TV, mobile and radio.
Digital University will be established
An announcement has also been made in the budget to create a digital university for education. The Finance Minister said that a digital university would be established with the objective of making education accessible from door to door through mobile. Through this, there will be a system of education in all the regional languages.
More Focus on Skill Development Program
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that new skills will be taught in various ITIs of the country. This scheme will be implemented in various ITIs of the country. Apart from this, online training will also be given to the students. After training, students will find it easier to find jobs and entrepreneurship through online medium.
