The Rajasthan government has issued new Covid-19 guidelines for the state on Friday, January 28, 2022. On the educational front, the guidelines directed the resumption of in-person academic activities in schools of the state for Classes 10-12 from February 1, 2022. In addition to this, the offline classes for students of Class 6 to 9 will be in force from February 10 onwards. However, the guidelines also mentioned that the option of online classes will remain open for the students.
Thus, the ones fearing Covid infections will have the liberty to attain education online. It is noteworthy that schools for all standards had been paused due to the spike in the Covid-19 cases, triggered by the spread of the Omicron variant. Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Rajasthan, Abhay Kumar released the guidelines which stated that students will be allowed into the school premises only after their parents/guardians submit a written consent for the same.
Along with this, only those employees, who have administered both doses of Covid-19 vaccine will be allowed in the offices of the state after January 31, 2022. Additionally, Night curfew curbs will continue to stay in force from 11 pm to 5 am across the state. Markets and business establishments will stay operational until 10 pm, while the Sunday's public discipline curfew has been called off.
The maximum attendance for all kinds of public gatherings has been fixed as 100 people. The new guidelines will come into effect from January 31. Rajasthan has registered 8, 125 fresh Covid-19 cases as on January 29, 2022 and accounts for 60% of Covid-19 deaths in January 2022, in the last seven days.
