The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2021 has been postponed by four months that is upto August 31, 2021. As per the latest media reports, the PMO has announced to postpone the NEET-PG Exam for at least 4 months. The postgraduate entrance examination for medical courses will not be conducted before August 31, 2021.

Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has issued a notice stating that the decision has been taken in view of the requirement to increase the availability of medical staff & personnel to fight this pandemic havoc across the country.

 

According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), students studying in the final year of MBBS can be put for teleconsultation and care of patients with mild symptoms of corona. Also, those studying B.Sc / GNM can be placed in full-time COVID nursing under the supervision of senior doctors and nurses.

The Government has announced to give priority in forthcoming regular Government recruitments to such Medical personnel completing 100 days of COVID duties. Also, the Prime Minister will also honour such candidates with the prestigious COVID National Service Award.



Amid the COVID-19 pandemic havoc, the Government of India has decided to postpone the NEET PG 2021 examination earlier. The NEET PG 2021 Computer Based Test (CBT) was scheduled to be held on April 18 and the result for the same was supposed to be declared on May 31, 2021.
