In order to improve research quality in higher educational institutions, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has announced several amendments to the Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF) scheme. These amendments have been made to extend the benefit of the fellowship to as many researchers as possible.

The Education Minister also announced the lessening of GATE scores. GATE's score has been reduced from 750 to 650. The Education Minister said that the required GATE score for students of any recognized institute/ university has been reduced from 750 to 650 in addition to a minimum of 8 or equivalent CGPA. The Education Minister said that the examination of JEE Advanced will be conducted on 23 August.

It is important to note the date of JEE Advanced Examination Confusion has been in place for a long time. The Education Minister has now made it clear that the examination for JEE Advanced will be held on August 23.
 


The Education Minister said that the minimum CGPA should be 8 or it's equivalent. The Education Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always pledged to promote research, technology, and research in the country. In the same direction, the PMRF was announced by the government in the 2018-19 budget. Amendments have been made to make the benefits of this scheme available to more and more students.
