Create in India Challenge Season 1 update: In a bid to bolster India's Media & Entertainment industry and extend its global influence, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw has launched 25 challenges under the ‘Create in India Challenge - Season 1’ on August 22, 2024 as part World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit 2024. It aims to showcase Indian talent and interest in Manga, Webtoon, and Anime through a series of State—and National-Level Competitions. It will offer substantial marketing support and the potential for publishing and distribution deals.

This initiative underscores the government's commitment to fostering a robust creators' economy, as recognised by the Prime Minister through the National Creators Award. The award seeks to honour outstanding contributions across fields such as storytelling, social change, environmental sustainability, education, and gaming.

When is World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit 2024?
The first World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit, abbreviated as WAVES, is scheduled to be held from November 20, 2024 to November 24, 2024 in Goa.  
WAVES 2024 is poised to become a significant platform for icons of the M&E fraternity worldwide. It promises to be a pivotal platform for industry leaders, innovators and stakeholders to converge and shape the future of the media and entertainment sector.
