CBSE Board Exam 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has clarified no reduction of up to 15% in the syllabus for Classes 10 and 12 for the 2025 board exams.
Earlier, there media reports doing the rounds on social media that the CBSE Regional Officer for Bhopal, Mr Vikas Kumar Agrawal has announced a 10-15% syllabus cut for the academic session 2025-26 for both Class 10 and 12 board exams to reduce students’ workload and focus on key concepts. This change, explained by Agrawal, aims to improve understanding by emphasizing essential topics instead of rote memorization.
The board’s evolving educational framework will provide students with the space to explore topics more comprehensively without an excessive load of content.
The Central Board of Secondary Education has not made any such change in its examination system and internal assessment system nor has any official information been issued in this regard. No such policy decision has been taken by the Board. Any information regarding policy changes by the Board is released through the official website and circulars of the Board.
