NEET UG 2024: The Supreme Court has orders NTA to release results by 20 July. Additionaly, During the hearing of over 40 petitions related to NEET UG, the Supreme Court ordered the NTA to release results based on city and exam center by 12 PM on 20 July.

The court reiterated that counseling cannot be halted until then. Prior to this hearing, the government had stated that NEET UG counseling might begin in the third week of July and will be conducted in four rounds.

The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) recently issued a notice to all medical colleges, instructing them to upload complete details of available seats on the portal. Colleges have been given until today, 20 July, to comply. This request for seat details also indicates that NEET UG counseling could start soon.

During the final hearing on NEET, the Supreme Court found violations at the Hazaribagh and Patna exam centers and directed the NTA to provide separate results for these centers following requests and demands from candidates.

The directive was issued because petitioners complained they were unable to determine the center-wise marking pattern as the NTA had not published results for all candidates. The NTA has been given until Saturday afternoon to complete this task. The court has postponed the hearing till Monday.
