To fill up vacant SC/ST seats in PG diploma programmes, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is conducting the offline admissions. 

According to the media reports, 32 seats reserved for SC/ST candidates in IIMC are available for offline admission in Post Graduate Diploma Courses in Journalism and Mass Communication, operating under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. One of its campuses is operating from Amravati University’s premises in Vidarbha.   The seats are available across the six campuses of IIMC.

Seat Availability

The seats available for the admission to PG Diploma courses are:
- In IIMC Delhi, 7 seats are vacant for Hindi and Urdu Journalism,
- In IIMC Dhenkanal, 10 seats are vacant for English and Odia Journalism,
- In IIMC Amravati, 4 seats are vacant for English and Marathi Journalism,
- In IIMC Kottayam, 6 seats are vacant for English and Malayalam Journalism,
- In IIMC Aizawl, 2 seats are vacant for English Journalism courses,
- In  IIMC Jammu, 3 seats are vacant for English Journalism courses


Admission on the basis of Written Test

According to the officials, "Eligible candidates should appear for Written Test and Interview at 10:00 am on August 26, 2019, in respective campuses of IIMC by registering their names on the spot in the premises of the campus."

The interested candidates are advised to visit the examination venue on the given date and time. Candidates are also advised to carry all necessary documents with them as to qualify for the eligibility criteria and a valid Id proof.
