Confirmed: CBSE To Announce Class 12 Results 2017 On Sunday
New Delhi

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will declare the class XII results on May 28, maintaining that it will follow the Delhi HC order on the moderation policy, which was scrapped last month.

"The results will be announced on May 28, Sunday in the forenoon. We will follow the five-point moderation policy as directed by the high court," said a senior official said, clearing doubt for the students waiting for their  results.

"We have decided to abide by the Delhi high court directive, but there will be no ‘artificial’ spiking of marks – as was decided in an April board meeting," the board official added.

The board had earlier decided to declare class XII results on May 24. While 10,98,891 students registered for the Class XII board examinations this year, the exams were conducted from March 9 to April 29.

Last year, the CBSE class XII pass percentage of girls was 88.58%. And pass percentage of boys was 78.85%. In 2016, Montfort School student Sukriti Gupta from Delhi topped (nationally) the CBSE class XII board exam. She scored  497 out of 500 marks.
