SSC CHSL 2024 Recruitment: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recently announced that while the new website (ssc.gov.in) of the Commission is now operational, the old website ssc.nic.in will still be available. It also further included information regarding the SSC CHSL 2024 application guidelines.

The website, SSC CHSL 2024 application form rules, and other important alterations were announced in a notice issued by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

According to the official notice, the SSC highlighted that the new website i.e. ssc.gov.in of the Commission is now accessible after it has gone online, although the previous website ssc.nic.in is also available for the users.

The SSC CHSL notification 2024 revealed that students should submit their application forms via the new website as this is where the official notice for the exam will ultimately be posted.

Candidates will need to create their One Time Registered (OTR) on the new website as part of the application process since the OTR from the old website will not work on the latest version of the site.

As stated in the announcement by the commission, candidates can complete the OTR as soon as feasible and well in advance of the expected publishing of the announcement for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2024.

Applicants should be aware that there will be a feature on the new website where they may take live photos of themselves while completing their application. Comparing this to the prior iteration of application submission on the previous website, when applicants had to provide previously taken photos, indicates that this is a new requirement.

It is recommended that candidates utilize a smartphone running Android or a webcam on a computer or laptop for taking live photographs, according to the notification.

Before taking the live photographs, make sure the following:
  • Locate a location with a simple background and good lighting.
  • Make sure the camera to look is aimed at eye level before capturing the image.
  • Take a straightforward glance and place yourself right in the middle of the webcam.
  • Applicants must Place themselves directly in front of the camera and face forward.
  • During a live photograph shoot, candidates should not wear a cap, mask, specs, or eyeglasses.
