UPSC Medical Officer Recruitment Exam 2017
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued the e-admit card for the recruitment exam of medical officers. 

While the exam will be held on December 17, 2017, candidates can download their hall tickets from UPSC’s official website upsc.gov.in. 

Highlights 
The exam will be two hours long and will carry 300 marks. 
There are a total of 12 posts available and candidates will be selected on the basis of a computer based recruitment test. 
The reporting time for the paper is at 12.30 pm and the exam will take place from 2 pm to 4 pm in the afternoon session. 

About UPSC
Under Article 320 of the Constitution of India, the UPSC is, inter-alia, required to be consulted on all matters relating to recruitment to civil services and posts. The functions of the Commission under Article 320 of the Constitution are:

Conduct examinations for appointment to the services of the Union.
Direct recruitment by selection through interviews.
Appointment of officers on promotion / deputation / absorption.
Framing and amendment of Recruitment Rules for various services and posts under the Government.
Disciplinary cases relating to different Civil Services.
Advising the Government on any matter referred to the Commission by the President of India.
