The examination for the UPSC ESE/ISS 2020 has been postponed by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). 

A notice has been released regarding the same on the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in. 

As per the official notification, the examination has been postponed to a specific request made by the Department of  Economic  Affairs. The Commission will also disclose the number of vacancies that will be filled through this examination in the notification.

The official notice reads "On a  specific request by the  Department of  Economic  Affairs,  the Commission has reconsidered its earlier decision and has now decided to hold the Indian Economic Service Examination, 2020 on 16th to 18th October 2020. The Notification of the examination is likely to be issued on 11/08/2020."

UPSC ESE/ ISS 2020: Eligibility Criteria 

UPSC ESE

A candidate who wishes to appear for the Indian Economic Service recruitment exam must have a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a recognized University.

UPSC ISS

To appear for the Indian Statistical Service recruitment exam, a candidate must have obtained a Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects or a Master's degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognized University.

UPSC ESE/ ISS 2020: Application Fees 

The candidates who are interested to apply for the examination will have to pay an application fee of Rs 200. Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
