UPPSC Review Officer / Assistant Review Officer 2016 Dispute at a Glance:

There was a dispute on the exam day itself. The candidates had alleged that the first shift paper from a centre in Lucknow has gone viral on WhatsApp but no action was taken by the Commission. In this case, IPS officer Amitabh Thakur came forward on behalf of the candidates and filed a case in Lucknow Court.

After this, the CBCID started the investigation of the case. However, CBCID said in its investigation report that no evidence related to the paper leak has been found in the case. After this report came, the Commission also released the Answer Key for the Preliminary Examination in July 2019 after two and a half years but in the meantime IPS officer, Amitabh Thakur filed another suit in the court. Due to the lawsuit, the test result was again stuck, so the Commission cancelled the preliminary examination itself and decided to have the re-examination on 3 May 2020 to end the dispute.

Candidates are advised to don't panic and keep an eye on the official website for further updates.
