UP Police issues fresh PET dates for police recruits
Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow has issued the fresh dates for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) exam to be conducted for recruitment to the posts of Sub Inspector.

The applicants who have qualified the written examination for Sub Inspector and Platoon Commander 2011(PAC) may appear for their PET test to be held on August 21 & 22 at various centres across the state.

Issuing a notification on its website UPPRPB said that "The PET exam which was earlier scheduled to held on August 04 and 05 was averted due to an inevitable reason. The Admit Card/ Hall Ticket issued for PET exam on earlier dates by candidates will remain valid for amended dates and schedule. "

The notification also said that the applicants who has not yet downloaded their PET admit card can download it from the official website. It will remain visible till August 21.

The results for the written examination was announced on July 28. More than 41,OOO applicants were announced selected for the second phase of police recruitment drive in Uttar Pradesh.

According to PAC constable and firemen chairman of UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Arun Kumar Gupta "More than 21 lakh applicants appeared in the preliminary examination of which 41,610 were selected for physical test.
