The Staff Selection Commission or SSC Chairman has released an important message for candidates of SSC CGLE 2017 and SSC CHSLE 2017. The official notice is available on the official website of the commission, ssc.nic.in.


According to the official notification, “The Staff Selection Commission has been receiving representations from the candidates of Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2017 requesting for an immediate declaration of final results of the aforesaid examination. Prompt replies are being given to these representations.”

With regard to CGLE 2017, it is reiterated that immediately after the Tier II Examination which was conducted in February 2018, the matter became a sub-judice. Hon’ble Supreme Court of India vide its Interim Order dated 31.8.2018 placed an interim injunction restraining the Commission from declaring the result of the said examination (including that of CHSLE 2017). 

Meanwhile, the commission is strictly following its examination schedule for the annual calendar 2019- 20. 

Since May 2019, SSC has conducted three of its major mandated examinations namely:
(i) Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-I) 2018 in which  25.97 Lakh candidates appeared for the exam,

(ii) Combined Higher Secondary Level (Tier-I) Examination 2018 in which 29.68 Lakh candidates appeared for the exam, and 

(iii) Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (Paper-I) Examination 2019 for about 38.58 Lakh candidates.

During the said period, SSC has also declared the following results:

(i) Combined Higher Secondary Level (Tier-II) Examination 2017 on May 10, 2019,

(ii) Selection Post Phase VI Examination 2018 for Matriculation, Intermediate and Graduation Level Examinations on May 17, 2019,

(iii) SIs in Delhi Police and CAPFs and ASIs in CISF (Paper-I) Examination 2018 on May 25, 2019, and

(iv) Constable (GD) Examination 2018 on June 20, 2019.

The commission has also conducted the Document Verification and Skill Test for the SSC CGL Recruitment 2017. A total of 35,990 candidates had qualified for the DV and skill test round.

The evaluation of the Skill Test (CPT and DEST) is a time-consuming process. It takes on average about 3 to 4 months from the date of completion of the Skill Test.

The evaluation of the Skill Test for SSC CGLE 2017 is currently under progress and is likely to be completed by the month of November 2019. 

SSC has prioritized and undertaken the Document Verification and Skill Test of the MTS (NT) Examination 2019 for 33,967 candidates of the SSC CHSL 2017 Examination w.e.f.  August 16, 2019, to September 22, 2019.
