JEE Advanced 2020 Admission Criteria Revised, IIT Removed Minimum Percentage Requirements

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has decided to relax the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2020 qualified candidates for IIT admissions. The announcement has been made by the HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank through his official tweeter handle. The minister has tweeted the decision of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) to remove the limit of minimum 75% marks in class 12 board exams.

Prior to this, the admission to the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) was based on the following eligibility criteria;

Candidate must have secured a minimum of 75% marks in class 12th board exams,
Candidate must have ranked among the top 20 percentile in their qualifying examinations.

Joint Admission Board (JAB) has decided to relax this eligibility criterion of minimum 75% marks in class 12 board exams due to the partial cancellation of class 12 exams by several Boards.

The JAB is scheduled to conduct the JEE Advanced 2020 for admission to IITs on September 27, 2020.

JEE Advanced 2020 Mode of Examination:

The JEE Advanced 2020 examination will be conducted only in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. 

 The JEE Advance 2020 application form will be available on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates are also advised to keep an eye on the official website for official updates.
