The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, HPPSC has announced the tentative exam date for the HP SET 2020. The Himachal Pradesh State Eligibility Test (SET)- 2020 is scheduled to be held on November 22, 2020. The official notification is available on the Commission's website at hppsc.hp.gov.in. The official notification reads, “It has been the endeavor of H.P. Public Service Commission to issue advance schedules so that prospective candidates can prepare a timely course of action.”
The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts the HP SET 2020 exam to determine the eligibility for the post of Assistant Professors/Lecturers in the universities and government colleges of Himachal Pradesh. The official notification for HP SET 2020 will be released by the HPPSC soon.

HP SET 2020 - Application Date
- General/ EWS category candidates will have to pay an application fees of Rs 700/-
- SC/ST and OBC category candidates will have to pay an application fees of Rs. 175/- and Rs. 350/- respectively.
- Candidates will be required minimum qualification as post graduation degree with minimum aggregate of 55%.
- Candidates from reserved category will get relaxation of 5% in the aggregate marks.
HP SET is a written examination held in the pen paper mode. The state eligiblity test is conducted for two papers.
- Paper I consists of 50 multiple choice questions based on general awareness
- Paper II consists of 100 objective type questions based on the subject chosen by the student.
