The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started receiving applications from candidates (Class X and XII students) who wish to appear for compartment or improvement exams in 2018. 

While the candidates should also note that fresh roll numbers will be allotted for candidates appearing for the 2018 Board exams,  those from outside the Delhi region, can download an intimation letter for the admit cards in January/February 2018. For students in Delhi, the admit cards will be available online from February 2018.

“The students who have been declared as EIOP/NIOP in Board (SA-2) examination 2017/ earlier will need to give 2018 examination (covering entire class X syllabus) according to revised pattern,” the CBSE said in a notice.

Application form for candidates placed in the category NIOP (Class X) and FAIL/COMPARTMENT (Class XII).  
For class 10 board exam, as per the Circular no. 05/2017 dated January 31, 2017, CBSE will conduct Class X private examination for 80 marks (for Theory) in each subject.

Who is eligible to apply as a private candidate? 

Candidate who has been declared as FAIL at the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII).
