CBSE class 10th and 12th Board Exam: Important information
As the Board Exams of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) are set to start from March 1, 2016, just one day to go. The board examination to Class X and XII  will begin from March 1 and will continue till March 28 for class 10th and April 22 for the class 12th.

According to CBSE, 25 lakh  students will appear this time in the board examination. The student registration this session stood at 6% more than the previous year.


As per the CBSE, a total of 14,99,122 students have registered for the Class X exams as against 13,73,853 in 2015, an increase of almost 1.25 lakh. Similarly for Class XII Boards, 10,67,900 students have registered as against 10,40,368 in 2015. There are 10 regions under CBSEThere are 10 regions under CBSE.


According to K K Chaudhary, controller of examinations, CBSE. "There has been a significant increase in the number of schools getting affiliated to CBSE in the past two years. And a large number of middle-level schools were upgraded to the secondary-level, which resulted in an increase in the number of Class X and XII students.


About 4,781 (2,860 for Class X and 1,921 for Class XII) differently-abled candidates have registered for the exams. The group includes physically-handicapped, visually-impaired and dyslexics students.


This year 76 Principals, trained counsellors from CBSE affiliated government and private schools and few psychologists will participate in Tele-Counselling and address exam related psychological problems of the students.


Students can dial a toll free number 1800 11 8004 from any part of the country which will give centralized access to CBSE helpline. While the general queries will be answered by the operators, students will be connected to the principals or counselors in case of exam related anxiety or stress. The tele-helpline will be operational from 08 AM to 10 PM from 1st February to 22nd April 2016 on all days.
