Bihar Board matriculation examination begins on March 06
A total of 13,38,919 students in the state would appear at the matriculation examination being conducted by Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) at 1,158 centres from March 6 to March 13.

There are 66 centres in Patna district. In 2013, 13,66,862 students had taken the Class X BSEB examination at 1,901 centres across Bihar.

Acoording to the Board official"Admit cards have been sent to district head offices and are also available online for the students to download," BSEB secretary Ashutosh Kumar told. "The Board has done all its preparation for conducting free, fair and smooth examination in the state," He added.

Apart from making the admit cards available online, the board is also mulling making model answer papers available online for students after the exams so that the examinees could assess themselves.

The statement released on the official website of  BSEB says that " It has also made provisions of an additional 15 minutes 'cool-off' time to be given to students to organize themselves before writing the paper and understand the questions like other boards. "The centre superintendents should make all attendance sheets and other examination information available to the district education officers (DEOs) within two days of the completion of examination," Kumar said, adding, "The DEOs should send the relevant information to the BSEB office latest by April 2."


About 9.81 lakh students, including 4.10 lakh girls, took the Intermediate exams at 882 centres across the state this year.

March 8: Mathematics

March 10: Science

March 11: Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Maithili

March 12: Second Language - Sanskrit, Bhojpuri, Arabic, Persian (Farsi)

March 13: Optional subject
