SSC CHSL 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to close the registration window for Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (CHSL) 2024 tomorrow. Interested candidates who want to appear for the same can submit their applications by visiting the official website i.e. ssc.gov.in. 

The candidates may note that the SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam will be conducted on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 July 2024. After closing the application window, the commission will open the application correction window for the candidates who wish to make corrections to their application form. 

The correction window for this exam will open on 10 May 2024 and will remain open for one day only. The correction window will close on 11 May 2024. 

This recruitment drive will fill out a total of 3,712 vacancies for data entry operators, lower divisional clerks (LDC), and junior secretariat assistants (JSA), and various other posts. 

SSC CHSL 2024: Age limit

Candidates applying for the SSC CHSL 2024 should be between 18 years old and 27 years old. However, there are relaxations in the upper age limit for candidates from reserved categories. 

SSC CHSL 2024: Application fees 

Candidates may note that they need to pay application fees to submit the form for this exam. Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100 to register for the SSC CHSL exam. 

However, specific categories of candidates, such as women, scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD), and ex-servicemen (ESM), who are eligible for reservation, are exempted from paying the application fee.


SSC CHSL 2024: Exam pattern 

The SSC CHSL exam will be conducted in two tiers: tier 1 and tier 2. The tier 1 exam will have 100 questions from subjects like general intelligence, general awareness, quantitative aptitude, and English language.

Candidates will get two marks for each correct answer and 0.50 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The duration of the exam is one hour.

  • Firstly candidates need to visit the official website i.e. ssc.gov.in. 
  • Then click on the 'SSC CHSL Online Application Form' link available on the homepage. 
  • Register yourself and generate your credentials. 
  • Log into the website and fill out the application form. 
  • Upload the required documents and pay the application fees. 
  • At last click on the submit button. 
  • Check the form and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
