Haryana to hire 500 coaches for sports complexes : Vij
Haryana government would recruit 500 coaches and enact a Sports Development Act for the promotion of sports in the state.

Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij said this while presiding over a meeting with District Sports Officers here on Tuesday.

He also announced to put a ban on the use of government sports complexes by the private persons or private organizations.

Vij said those schools, colleges and other private educational institutes which provide excellent sports facilities to sportspersons would be honoured.

It has come to the notice that various sports complexes in the state were being used by private sports academies for sports activities and they were charging huge amount of money in the form of fee from children, he said.

The Minister said the government would soon enact Sports Development Act in order to check unauthorised sports academies, said an official release.

He said that now attendance of all players and employees of Sports Department would be marked through biometric system so as to track their every activity.

He also directed all district officers to identify sports persons living anonymous lives in their districts and prepare a list of them.

Vij said that international level sports stadiaums equipped with latest facilities would be set up in the state. Apart from this, stadiums would be set up in every district of the state to provide latest sports facilities.

While laying emphasis on promotion of water sports and wushu, he said that players of the state have capability to win medals in these games.

The Minister said that soon 500 coaches would be recruited for all sports complexes in the state.
