Authorities are keen that the next academic year and future admissions do not suffer because of the agitation by the students.
Officials said that there have been years when strikes have gone on long adversely affecting the academic cycle. The institute has also seen some zero admission years, they said.
They added that while the written test for FTII entrance examination 2015-16 was scheduled on August 9, it will now be held on August 23.
The institute's website also says that the "written test for FTII entrance examination 2015-16 which was scheduled on 9th August 2015, has been rescheduled and will be held on Sunday, 23rd August 2015".
