Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is all set to begin an integrated Six Year Ph.D Course in Science department for the new academic session 2015-16.
The students will be able to take admission in M.Sc course and will get out from the university after the completion of Ph.D.
The noteworthy thing is students will not have to do M.Phil after taking admission in this course. According to JNU Vice-Chancellor S.K.Sopory "The students will also be able to pursue their Ph.D course in Media Studies." The Executive Counsel of JNU has given the green signal to start three more new courses for Ph.D programme.
The Vice-Chancellor said that "The university will kick off Six-Year Integrated Ph.D course where students will take admission in M.Sc (which will be of two years) and will pass out taking Ph.D degree (of four years)."

According to Vice-Chancellor , M.A integrated courses is also being taught along with B.A. To pursue B.A in language the students need to qualify the entrance examination but the students who wish to further pursue M.A degree need not to appear for any exam.
