Jamia Millia Islamia has decided to introduce Diploma course in Disaster Management in view of the earthquake in parts of India and Nepal in academic session commencing form 2015-16.
The students will be taught the art of helping during disaster and will be offered the opportunity of research on the causes of Earthquake and its solution.
Geological and VC Prof. Talat Ahmad on Thursday has announced a diploma course in Disaster Management.
University will explore work in the Himalayan Range and in Delhi . Admission to the course has been started. Students can apply online.

The admission process for various undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma/certificate programmes offered by the central university for the academic session 2015-16, began on April 14 and May 1 was announced as the last date.

"Now the last date has been postponed to May 4. However, over 1 lakh registrations have already been made for various courses," a university official added.
