The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started two new courses ; Post Graduate Diploma in Information Security (PGDIS) and Advanced Certificate in Information Security (ACISE) for the students who wish to learn the tricks of anti-hacking.
Students would be able to learn the tricks of Ethical Hacking from January session. According to Urshla Kant, Assistant professor of School of Vocational Education and Training "This programme has been launched to nurture skills in students to impart skills of avoiding online data hacking and its technicality.
Both the programmes will be of one year. The minimum eligibility for getting admission in this programme is B.Sc Computer Science, BCA, B.Tech (Computer Sceince), B.Tech (IT) and the aspirants who have completed bachelor course from any stream.
The students of Certificate in Computer Science/Computer Application can also apply to get admission in this course. The duration of certificate course will be of six months.

A. B.Sc (Computer Science)/ B.C.A/ B.Tech (Computer Sc.)/ B.Tech (IT) or its equivalent
B. Bachelor Degree in any discipline or its equivalent from a recognized University/ Institute with CIT/CIC/ACISE/CISE from IGNOU or a Certificate in Computer Science/Computer Application from a Govt. recognized institute with a minimum duration of 6 months or studied Computer Course as part of the curriculum in Bachelor/PG Degree.
C. Bachelor Degree in any discipline or its equivalent from the recognized University/ Institute with 1 year working experience in Computer application/IT.
(B). Advanced Certificate in Information Security (ACISE)
Minimum Duration: 6 Months
Maximum Duration: 2 Years
Course Fee: Rs. 4,500
