Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the reserve list for the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018. The Commission has uploaded the list on its official website, upsc.gov.in.
Earlier the UPSC released the final result and marks of the candidates who have appeared for the final examination of Civil Service held by UPSC on April 05, 2019. Now the commission has released the reserve list for the same. Those who have appeared for the exam can download the reserve list from the official website.
The online application for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and Central Services Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ against 812 vacancies was commenced from February 07, 2018, to March 06, 2018.
An official notification released by the UPSC reads, "The Commission, in accordance with Rule 16 (4) & (5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules, was also maintaining a Consolidated Reserve List in order of merit below the last recommended candidate under the respective categories."
Kanishak Kataria, a B. Tech graduate from IIT Bombay, is the UPSC topper 2018. He qualified the examination with Mathematics as his optional subject.
Srushti Jayant Deshmukh, who secured the fifth rank overall, is topper among women. The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination was conducted in June 2018.
1994 candidates had qualified for the Personality Test held in February-March 2019. "A total number of 759 candidates have been recommended for appointment," read a notification on the official website.

Note: As sought by the Department of Personnel & Training, the Commission has now recommended 53 candidates which include 38 General, 14 OBC and 01 SC, to fill up the remaining posts based on the Civil Services Examination, 2018. Particulars of these candidates are included herewith. The candidates so recommended will be intimated directly by the DOP&T.
The candidature of following candidates bearing Roll No. 1107694 and 0882880 are provisional.
