JK Police SI Recruitment 2024: The Jammu and Kashmir Staff Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the official notification for 669 Sub Inspector vacancies in the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The application window for the same will open on 3 December 2024. The candidates who want to participate in the same will be able to apply by visiting the official website i.e. jkssb.nic.in.

According to the official notice, "The candidates seeking to apply for the advertised posts shall be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format on or before the cut-off date, i.e., the last date for submission of online application forms, which, unless otherwise extended, shall be January 02, 2025."

The written exam will be conducted in English and will include Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions. A negative marking will apply for each wrong answer. Based on the written test results, candidates will be shortlisted for the Physical Standard Test (PST). After clearing the PST, candidates will be shortlisted for the Physical Endurance Test, which includes a long race, push-ups, and shot put.  

At last, the candidates will be called for document verification. Candidates must appear with self-attested photocopies of each document/certificate and their online application form. Those who want to participate in this recruitment drive will have to pay application fees i.e. 

SC, ST-1, ST-2, and EWS categories: Rs 600  
Other categories: Rs 700  

Candidates can pay fees only through online modes, such as Net Banking, Credit, or Debit cards, as per the official notice.  

The age of the candidates should be between 18-28 years, except for in-service personnel. For them, the age limit is 18-30 years. The cut-off date for determining the age limit is January 1, 2024. Also, applicants need a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. 

The candidates must be domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. They must have a certificate issued on or before January 2, 2025, to prove this claim.
