Over 700 RSS volunteers from various parts of the country are participating in the 25-day "third year" summer camp--the graduating pedestal for the Sangh activists--which was inaugurated here on Monday in the second capital of Maharashtra.

The 'Sangh Shiksha Varg- Trutiya Varsh' (third year) was inaugurated at Dr Hedgewar Smriti Mandir premises in Reshimbaug area of the city where the 'Samadhi' of RSS founder Dr K B Hedgewar and memorial of his immediate successor Golwalkar Guruji is located.

Those swayamsewaks (volunteers) of the RSS who have completed first two years' training in the organisation are allowed for this third year training camp at Nagpur.

During the camp, the selected swayamsevaks from various states stay at Nagpur for a period of 25 days and receive training in RSS ideology.

"Around 708 swaymsevaks from across the country are participating in this 25-dayvarg (camp) this year," said a release issued by the Sangh.

RSS Sah-Sarkaryawah (joint general secretary) Dattatrey Hosabale said the third-year camp is an "important milestone in the life of a swaymsevak".

"However, it is not like auniversity degree or a certificate. We are always in the process of learning and this journey never ends," he said while addressing a gathering of swayamsewaks on the occasion.

Hosabale said the swayamsewaks get a true national perspective in this camp by staying with the participants who come from various states.

Sangh 'Palak Adhikari' for training Mukund CR said the participants get to learn various aspects of the RSS during the period of 25 days.

"There is another dimension to this training which is informal and it is the experience which we are going to get in the next 25 days. This is an intangible investment for our life," he said.
