National Mathematics Day: Every year, to commemorate the birth anniversary of mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan is celebrated on December 22 in the form of National Mathematical Day. He was born in 1887 in Erode, Tamil Nadu. The story of Ramanujan's mathematics is one of the most fascinating stories depicted through writing, painting and various artworks.

India celebrates National Mathematical Day in memory of Srinivasa Ramanujan. From childhood, he was very much fond of mathematics. At the age of 12, he mastered trigonometry and developed many theorems on his own without any assistance.

He was awarded a scholarship to study at Government Arts College, Kumbakonam, but in the end, he lost this honour due to his unusual performance in other subjects. To find his identity, he left home and enrolled at Pachaiyappa College, Madras.

After that, with the help of mathematician Ramaswamy Iyer, he got the job of clerk in the Madras Port Trust. If they talk about success, they achieved success in 1913. This was the time when Ramanujan wrote to GH Hardy. British mathematician called him to London.

In 1917, Ramanujan was elected a member of the London Mathematical Society. In 1918, he became a Fellow of the Royal Society, who became the youngest person to achieve this feat. London's weather and poor eating habits gradually influenced Ramanujan's health, and at the age of 32, he breathed his last in Kumbakonam.
