Recognising their hard work, the Meghalayagovernment distributed laptops to nearly 178 meritorious students on Friday.
"We honour your dedication and hard work withsmall gifts which we feel will send a loud message that we wish to build asense of dedication and discipline among you," said state Information andTechnology minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, while felicitating the students who excelledin their class X and XII examination in 2016 conducted by the state board,ICSE, ISC and CBSE.
She reiterated that the IT department has been atthe forefront in building IT skills in the state.
