Army Public Schools have no provisions to admit civilian students, says Minister
New Delhi

Army Public Schools have no provisions to admit civilian students, said state Defence Minister Subhash Bhamre on Tuesday.

Bhamre announced this during the Question Hour of the Rajya Sabha.

The minister reiterated that these  schools are not run by the government and had a priority provision for the wards of defence personnel.

 About Indian Army Public Schools

Indian Army Public Schools (APS) is a system of public schools established for imparting  education to the children of the Indian Armed Forces personnel. There are approximately 130 APS across the country.
These schools are generally managed by the Army regional commands and follow CBSE pattern of education.
