UPSC Civil Services 2023 Results: The Union Public Service Commission has declared the results of the Civil Service Examinations 2023. Candidates who appeared for the same can check their results by visiting the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in.

According to the official notification, "A total of 1,016 candidates cleared the examination and have been recommended for different central government services." 

The Civil Services Examination, 2023 was conducted in September and the interview for personality test was completed in January- April 2024. Now the final result has been declared and the appointments have been given for the following posts. 
  • Indian Administrative Service 
  • Indian Foreign Service 
  • Indian Police Service 
  • Central Services Group 'A' and 'B' 
This year 347 candidates from the general category, 115 candidates from EWS, 303 candidates from OBC, 165 candidates from SC, and 86 candidates from the ST category have cleared and been recommended for appointment. 

Candidates may note that the commission has kept the result of 355 recommended candidates as provisional. The marks of all the candidates who appeared in the UPSC exam will be available on the website within 15 days from the date of declaration of the result.

The appointment of various services is provided according to the number of vacancies which are reported by the government. 

This year 180 candidates have been selected for IAS service, of which 73 are from the general category, 17 from EWS, 49 from Other Backward Class, 27 from Scheduled Caste, and 14 from the Scheduled Tribe category.

Whereas 37 candidates have been selected for IFS service, of which 16 are from the general category, 4 are from EWS, 10 are from other backward classes, 5 are from Scheduled Caste, and 2 are from Scheduled Tribe category. 

With this, 200 candidates have been selected for IPS service, out of which 80 are from the general category, 20 from EWS, 55 from Other Backward Class, 32 from Scheduled Caste, and 13 from the Scheduled Tribe category. This many candidates have been selected for Central Service Group 'A' and 'B'. 

In the results released by UPSC, a total of 613 candidates have been selected for Central Service Group 'A' and 113 candidates have been selected for Group 'B' Services. 

Candidates may note that UPSC has a 'Facilitation Counter' near the examination hall on the campus. In case of any doubt, candidates can visit the counter during working hours between 10 am to 5 pm. UPSC Civil Services 2023 Results: How to check results? 
  • Firstly candidates need to visit the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in
  • Then click on the “Final Result of Civil Services Examination, 2023” link available on the homepage. 
  • The UPSC Result PDF document will appear on the screen.
  • Check your Name, Roll Number, and AIR to view the result.
  • Candidates can download the UPSC CSE Final Result PDF for future reference.
