PSEB board result 2024: The Punjab Board's chairperson, Dr. Satbir Bedi, announced the PSEB Punjab Board Class 10th results 2024 today, 18 April, at around 1:30 p.m. Although the result link would be activated by tomorrow, 19 April and all the candidates would be able to check their PSEB 2024 result by visiting the official website i.e. pseb.ac.in.  

 

This year, the top scorers have shown remarable academic achievement with Aditi securing a perfect score of 650 out of 650 and winning the first spot on the list, along with Alisha Sharma and Karmanpreet Kaur who followed up with incredible score of 645 out of 650. 

 

Candidates must note that the overall pass percentage of the examination stood at 97.24%. Notably, both female and male candidates delivered commendable performances. Aditionally, the transgender candidates also exhibited commendable academic prowess, achieving a pass percentage of 90.91%.

In terms of regional performance, urban areas recorded a pass percentage of 96.60%, while rural areas surpassed expectations with a higher pass percentage of 97.58%.

Lastly, Karmanpreet kaur who passed the exam with 99.23% (645 marks), is student of Amber public senior secondary school, Nawan tanel, Teh baba bakala (Amritsar).

PSEB Board results 2024: Statistics overview 

  • Trends among candidates are displayed by the pass percentage data. 273,348 out of 281,098 candidates passed, meaning that 97.24% of them were successful.
  • Female candidates passed, 132,642 out of 135,123, yielding a 98.11% pass rate. With 148,445 out of 153,651 male candidates passing, the pass rate was 96.47%.
  • 10 out of 11 transgender candidates passed with a 90.91% pass rate. In the city, 97,586 out of 101,009 candidates passed, resulting in a 96.60% pass rate.
  • In rural areas with 183,512 of 187,590 applicants passing, the pass rate was 97.58%. Government schools reported that 186,908 out of 190,325 applicants passed, translating to a 97.32% pass rate.
  • The pass rate for non-government institutions was 98.01%, meaning that 73,896 out of 75,336 applicants were successful. With a 93.71% success rate, 20,294 out of 21,661 candidates passed in aided schools. 
 

Punjab Board 10th Result: Passing marks   

  • To pass the PSEB 10th Exam 2024, candidates must secure a minimum of 33%.
  • The Punjab Board employs a grading system with seven levels, ranging from 'A1' for the highest score to 'D' for the lowest.
