The eligibility cum entrance test was held on September 11, 2021, as Social Distanced - Computer Based Test (SD-CBT). The candidates who secured the minimum qualifying cutoff will only be considered qualified in the postgraduate. A total of 1,75,063 candidates have been registered for NEET-PG 2021. The NBE is conducting the entrance test for postgraduate medical courses in more than 260 cities at around 800 test centres across the country.

The National Board of Examinations will release the detailed NEET PG 2021 scorecard and the merit position for All India 50 percent quota seats separately. The official notification reads, "The final merit list/category-wise merit list for State quota seats shall be generated by the states/ UT as per their qualifying/ eligibility criteria, applicable guidelines/ regulations, and reservation policy."
