The (CBSE) on Monday declared the result of Joint Entrance Examination(JEE-Main) 2015, for entrance to engineering institutions, in which over 1.52 lakh students were declared qualified to take examination for JEE (Advanced).

A total of 1,52,401 candidates were declared qualified for the JEE (Advanced) that is scheduled to be held on May 24. JEE (Advanced) is conducted for admissions to the prestigious IITs in the country.

The cut off marks for general candidates in JEE (Mains) was 105, for OBC 70 marks, for SC 50 marks and for ST 44 marks, said Executive Director JEE(Main) CBSE.

Nearly 13 lakh candidates had registered for the offline and online papers of JEE(Main) that were held earlier this month.

The successful candidates would be eligible to register themselves online for JEE (Advanced) from May 2.
