The result for JEE Advanced 2019 has been declared by the Roorkee IIT today i.e. June 14, 2019. Kartikey Gupta from Maharashtra achieved All India first rank. 

Kartikey is originally from Chandrapur in Maharashtra.

His father Chandresh Gupta is a manager in the paper industry while mother Poonam Gupta is a homemaker.

The elder brother of Kartikey is doing B.Tech. in computer science stream from Bhartiya Vidhya Bhawan Sardar Patel institute of technology, Mumbai.


In the JEE Main examination, Kartikey achieved All India 18th rank with 100 percentile score. 
Kartikey has passed 12th examination this year with 93.7 per cent marks.


Kartikey, said that he expected the result to be good but did not expect to top the exam. 
Kartikey gives credit to the preparations done with a cool mind for his success. He told that in addition to the regular class, 6 to 7 hours of self-study is required.

According to Kartikey the biggest formula for preparing JEE is to not keeping any other duties in mind. Because, if you do not clear the doubts, they will further increase the problem. Therefore, he slept at night after clearing all the doubts of every subject.

Kartikey gives the mantra of his success to prepare for the exam with a calm mind. He advised the students preparing for the exam, not to panic while preparation because you have to fight and encourage yourself. Read every topic calmly and understand well.

Kartikey said that he a kept distance from social media during the preparation. He says that the use of social media was a waste of time, so he used the keypad phone while the preparation. Because you waste many hours on social media in a day without even realising it.

Kartikey regards the great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan as his ideal. 

To conclude he said that "IT was a dream of  Kartikey for engineering from Mumbai's CS branch, which is going to be completed now".
