The result for the Goa Board Class 10 is to be declared on July 28, 2020, by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, GBSHSE.
Once declared, the result will be available on the official website i.e. gbshse.gov.in. According to the media reports, the Goa Board Class 10 result will be available at 4:30 PM. This year a total of 19,680 students had registered for the SSC exams 2020. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be conducted from April 2 but was postponed following the lockdown after the outbreak of COVID-19. The exams were then conducted from May 21 to June 6, 2020. The Board would be releasing the results in the evening as it did for the HSC results 2020.
Last year the total number of students who appeared were 18,684. Out of these, the number of passed candidates were 17,258. The overall pass percentage was registered to be 92.47 per cent. The pass percentage of boys was 92.31 per cent while for girls was 92.64 per cent.
Every year the result for the Goa Board is announced by the end of May, by the GBSHSE. However, this year the results were delayed due to exams being delayed after pandemic outbreak and schools closing in March 2020.
Goa Board 12th Result 2020: Details
This year the HSSC, class 12 result was released on June 26, 2020. The Board released an official notification on the website days before the release of results. A total of 89.27 percent students cleared the exams successfully. The Commerce stream received the highest pass percentage with 92.82 percent, followed by the Science stream with 88.96 percent. The Arts stream was with the least pass percentage at 85.30 percent. The girls this time outperformed boys with 90.44 percent, while the pass percentage of boys was 87.43 percent.
