The (CBSE) has announced the results for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2014. The students who appeared in the examination can check their results now.
The CBSE has announced this result on Friday late night. "The common merit list Cut -Off for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is 115 marks." CBSE chairman Vineet Joshi said. The cut-off for OBC students is 74 marks and for SC it is 53 and for ST candidates it remained on 47 marks.
The students who would have got this minimum cut-off mark will be qualified for admission to various IIT and NIIT colleges. A total of 11.50 lakh students had appeared in the exam.
According to Joshi "The top 1.50 Lakh qualified applicants will be able to take exam of JEE-Advance." JEE advance will be conducted on May 25. This entrance test will be held for admission to IIITs.
The candidates who appeared in the exam can access their results by submitting their Roll Number and Date of Birth (DOB).
The online test was held on April 09, April 11, April 12 and April 19 respectively.
The candidates qualifying JEE Mains will be eligible for admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes in NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions in India.
