The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday has announced its Class XII results for all the regions well before time. As it was scheduled to be out at 12 noon, instead it was declared at 11 a.m, with the fourth year in a row, the topper is a student from Delhi.
According to an official statement issued by Board, Sukriti Gupta from Montfort School in Ashok Vihar, the topper, scored 497 marks out of 500. At second position is Palak Goel from Kurukshetra, Haryana with 496 marks. In the differently-abled category, Mudita Jagota, a student from Faridabad is the topper.
According to CBSE officials, the pass percentage this year has increased by a marginal 1.05 per cent as compared to last year's 82 per cent. In terms of pass percentage, girls (88.58) performed better than boys (78.85) this time.
